Born in Hackney, Ralph trained under Vivienne Guignard, June Abbott and Anna Scher. He began singing at venues around London performing as a tenor accompanied by a live band, he has become a popular performer appealing to a wide age range due to his charming stage personality.
Ralph sang classic tracks for an album recorded at Ye Old Spur Studios in Mortlake, South London. He has gained interest from record labels, and had positive feedback from BBC Radio Essex, and BBC Radio 2.
Hand in hand with his singing career, Ralph has a passion for acting and has appeared in various theatre productions, short films, videos and TV commercials. During a supermarket commercial shoot he had to choreograph his own five minute, song and dance routine on the spot. Which he did in two takes (to the amazement of an applauding TV crew). Ralph is an accomplished character actor with excellent comedy skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Ralph is also a registered lookalike for Lieutenant Detective COLUMBO played by the American actor PETER FALK. He has portrayed him for comedy sketches and other engagements including a ‘reunion’ of 70’s TV detectives alongside ‘KOJAK’ and other lookalikes. One of his most unique performances was to perform in cabaret as COLUMBO singing a medley of FRANK SINATRA songs.
He has been interviewed by Time Out Magazine for a full-page feature, after which he received his first fan-mail!
